Look Up!

Amongst my other photographic tendencies (such as berries, reflections and cars), I am also drawn to towers and steeples. I am not sure if it stems from my romantic image of the princess high above in the turret or from growing up in the mountains surrounded by majestic peaks. Or maybe I have taken advice to "keep your chin up" a little too far. Regardless, I find a strange contentment in looking up at those towers.
Do you ever have those things in your life that you just love to look at for no explicable reason?

  1. I love to look up... but often forget not to keep walking when I'm doing it! A camera in hand would be a good reminder: stop, look, then keep the pretty image in picture form for as long as you like. Lovely shots! So dramatic.

  2. These are great, I too often try to remember to look up, you get some amazing dramatic shots with weird perspectives! If you are on flickr you can join this group which sometimes has some really good things :)

  3. Thank you to both!
And thanks for the recommendation Suzie. I'm not on flickr yet, though I have been thinking about joining for awhile now (just a matter of actually doing it). But I checked out that group, such interesting perspectives!

  4. All of these are lovely. Looking up creates an interesting and clean image and sometimes catches beautiful sun flare like the second photo here. Very nice.
